Itinerary

Day 1: Sai Gon – My Tho – Can Tho

  • 7:30 – 8:30: Our guide picks you up at the hotel lobby (District 1) or at our office (203 De Tham Street, District 1).

  • On the way, visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, the largest pagoda in the Mekong Delta.

  • Upon arrival in My Tho, take a boat trip along the Mekong River.

    • See fish cages and floating houses.

    • Cruise into a small canal for a peaceful experience.

  • Visit a coconut island:

    • Stop at a local family home to enjoy tropical fruits, honey tea, and honey wine.

    • Visit a coconut candy workshop, learn the candy-making process, and see handicrafts made from coconut trees.

  • Walk through the village to admire fruit gardens, flowers, and local life.

  • Travel by tram or horse-drawn carriage to a music spot and enjoy Southern folk music (Đờn ca tài tử).

  • Experience a three-leaf canoe ride weaving through small creeks (~15 minutes).

  • Lunch at a local restaurant with special Vietnamese dishes.

  • After lunch, you can relax, walk, or cycle around the area.

  • Continue to Can Tho for the night.


Day 2: Cai Rang Floating Market – Sai Gon

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Check out.

  • Early morning visit to Cai Rang Floating Market – the largest floating market in the Mekong Delta and one of the top 19 must-visit food hubs in the world.

    • Witness the bustling trading activities on the river with hundreds of boats.

    • Enjoy the sunrise and have breakfast on a local boat, with a variety of options like drinks, fruits, and local dishes.

  • Visit a rice noodle factory:

    • Learn how rice noodles are made.

    • Try making rice noodles and buy some as souvenirs.

  • Visit An Binh Market – experience the lively scene of a local market.

  • Stop at Khome Pagoda in Vinh Long – a famous, centuries-old pagoda showcasing the unique architecture of Khmer Buddhism.

  • Lunch at a local restaurant.

    • Experience making Vietnamese pancakes (Bánh xèo), a specialty of the Southwest.

  • After lunch, return to Ho Chi Minh City.

  • Trip ends.
